HUNTINGDON TOWN were thrashed 5-1 by Wooton at Jubilee Park on Saturday, despite having only picked up one point from their last seven away games.
Luke Jones scored for Blue Cross two minutes into the game, and Scott McGregor doubled their lead after 32 minutes.
Luke Bassett gave Martyn Ray's men a fighting chance by making it 2-1 just before the hour mark, but Ben Baines restored the visitor's two goal cushion twenty minutes from time.
A late attack saw Sam Donadio score Wooton's fourth with three minutes left, and Baines completed the rout by making it 5-1 in the final minute.
Town now sit twelfth in the table and next play Rusden and Higham United at Jubilee Park on Saturday.
