Huntingdon Tennis Club have captured a prestigious piece of silverware.
Their team of Michael King, Tristan Bacon, Natasha Scott and Lydia Sivarent-Sava lifted the Don Brace Cup – a long-running competition organised by the Huntingdon & Peterborough Tennis League.
The format features matches played in men’s, ladies and mixed pairings and the Huntingdon Tennis Club quartet were successful in their first attempt, beating Stamford in the recent final.
They previously saw off Peterborough side Thorpe Wood at the semi-final stage after overcoming Hemingfords in the quarter-finals. They received a bye in the opening round.
Huntingdon Tennis Club is situated at a purpose-built facility on St Peters Road and boasts seven courts – three of which are in an indoor ‘bubble’ to provide year-round access.
The club has a thriving junior section with four coaches available for individual or group lessons.
