STAGS U14 19-7 NEWMARKET U14

Despite only fielding 13 players, Stags were able to overcome Newmarket to claim a victory on their first appearance back at the Racecourse.

Stags opened with good teamwork, but a concentration lapse allowed the Newmarket fly-half to sprint through to touch down under the posts. Toby Dewar hit back with a try for Stags, though Kacy Nicholson's conversion bounced wide from the post.

In the second half, play flowed from end to end but with ten minutes remaining Tomas Guilliatt-Griggs was driven by his forwards, taking him over the line for a try that Nicholson converted. Charlie Lee added a late try, profiting from good passing before outsprinting the defence and Nicholson's added the points for the win.
