The head coach of the thriving Eaton Socon junior set-up has received national recognition.
Matt Taylor, who also plays regularly for the Peppercorn Lane club at senior level, won the England Cricket Board Coach of the Year accolade.
He received his award from former England batsman Graham Thorpe during a one-day international against Australia at The Oval last month.
Eaton Socon enjoyed success in all age groups last year with 23 of their youngsters earning selection for Huntingdonshire, Bedfordshire or Northamptonshire sides.
Taylor, who has coached at the club for six years, also oversees their All Stars programme with close to 50 players – some as young as four – being introduced to the sport.
