A MAJOR table tennis tournament took place at the weekend with youngsters from across Cambridgeshire battling it out at the St Neots Table Tennis Club.
The finale of the competition was held on Saturday - the culmination of four Saturdays of competition between teams of under 16s from March, St Neots and St Ives.
After a day of fierce competition the winning youngsters were the March Juniors team, beating the St Neots Superstars by the narrowest of margins, on legs won after tying for points.
At a special presentation ceremony two awards were presented for sportsmanship, one to Niall Harris of March and another to Joseph Kokokta from the St Neots Allstars.
The awards were presented by Keith Richardson, president of the Cambs County Table Tennis Assocation.
INFORMATION: The tournament begins all over again this summer, with the first game taking place on April 14. Contact Steve Rate on 07963758932 or email steverate@yahoo.co.uk
