BRAMPTON tennis player Caroline Rosamond enjoyed a day in the sun when she won the Ladies’ Singles title at reputedly the world’s oldest tennis festival.

BRAMPTON tennis player Caroline Rosamond enjoyed a day in the sun when she won the Ladies’ Singles title at reputedly the world’s oldest tennis festival.

The 20-year-old, who is currently studying at Bath University, beat Norfolk player Amy Partridge 6-4 6-0 in the final of the Hunstanton Tennis Festival.

The tournament, which was first contested in 1903, saw more than 1,100 compete in the 37 categories, which ranged from under-12 to senior 55+.

Rosamond is currently training with the British Universities Tennis Team at the Bath Academy.
