There were plenty of impressive performances from Huntingdon BRJ Run & Tri members in the opening race of the Peterborough Grand Prix Series last week.

Husband and wife David and Annette Newton enjoyed age-group success in the M65 and F65 categories respectively at the 5km event held at Ferry Meadows.

Shelley Duffy was runner-up at F35 level with Liam Tharme taking third in the Under 20 bracket in a race where Harrison Evans was the club's fastest runner. He finished 24th overall in 17.54.

A number of junior BRJ runners ran well at senior level - including Reece Millard and James Orrell who both finished in the top 50.

Liam Conway was runner-up in the 3k junior race. The 11 year-old clocked 10.25.
