St Neots Town twice failed to hold onto leads and saw a penalty saved as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Slough in the Southern League Premier Division yesterday.
They hit the front in a fifth successive away game courtesy of recently returned Ryan Frater after 27 minutes, but the hosts hit back in stoppage time at the end of the opening period.
Isaac Galliford restored the advantage just after the hour, but Slough again replied within 10 minutes.
And Saints squandered a golden chance to go back in front again when Drew Roberts saw his penalty saved after a home defender had been dismissed for bringing down Ryan Hawkins.
It meant David Batch’s side had to settle for a third draw in the space of a week. They remain in the bottom half of the table and nine points off the play-off places.
