St Ives won the annual Ely City Mixed Hockey Tournament in dramatic style.

The two-day event was eventually decided on penalty flicks following a goalless final deadlock between the locals and Royal Veterinary College London.

And it was St Ives who prevailed 2-1 in the shoot-out with Holly Stride converting the decisive penalty.

St Ives are currently staging summer hockey sessions on a Wednesdays (7.30pm to 9pm). Anyone interested in playing should simply go along to their St Ivo Outdoor Complex base.
