The medal haul included 18 golds, while the club recorded an amazing 134 personal best times, to the pleasure of coaches Sue Gow and Sandra Brice.

It was a long humid summer's day at the Peterborough pool and the top performers for Saints through an exhausting day of competition were Becky Hime and Stanley Waters, who brought home an outstanding five and four medals respectively.

Double medallists included David Cummings, Matt Davis, Ella Hartley, Matt Lardner, Alys Moore, Catherine Pritchard, Katie Rogers, Hannah Smith, Martha Waters and Daniel Yarney.

Most encouraging for the coaches was that the medal winners were spread across all age groups emphasising the club's current strength in depth.

The impressive number of personal best times recorded means that Saints can now look forward with real confidence to the next gala in the County season to be held in November.
