ST IVES swimmers finished third in the relay finals of the Cambridgeshire County Championships that took place over the last two weekends.
The young swimmers finished just behind Peterborough and Cambridge, where the galas were hosted, but ahead of Huntingdon Piranhas in the nine team relay gala.
The 10-years and under age group showed great form, splitting the two city clubs with a string of second place finishes.
Highlights for Ives from the two weekends of individual competition were personal best times and new regional qualifying times for many of the swimmers. These included Andy Weatheritt bagging a national qualifying time in the 50 metre backstroke.
Ives won more than 70 medals in the individual events, with gold medals brought home by Tom Davis, Ella Hartley, Oliver Cook, Gemma and Hannah Sargent, Hazel Stirling, Andy Weatheritt and Daniel Yarney.
