ST IVES' meeting with Shelford began with a minute's silence for the Saffron Walden player who died at St Neots last week.
Ives' first home game quickly developed into a one sided affair as Shelford could not live with the pace. St Ives managed to run in 12 tries in total to win 74-7 thanks to scorers Graham Wayman (2), Josh Meadows (2), Jim Robinson (2), Jamie Noble (2), Adam Scott, Richard Cobbald, Tom Wakerley and Jason Price.
