A DOUBLE strike from Derrick Pope helped earn Saints a 3-2 victory at Market Deeping. Dave Land got the other goal when he deflected in his brother Andy's shot and captain Iain McIntosh picked up the man of the match award.
Mike Wilderspin's strike was scant consolation for St Ives II as they went down 5-1 at Cambridge Nomads III but Saints III fared better as they drew 3-3 with Ely City II. Bevis Moynan (2) and James Cahill were the goalscorers.
The fourth XI earned a 1-1 draw with Long Sutton thanks to Karl Buddle, while St Ives V drew 2-2 at Ely City IV. Scott Perry and captain Graeme Hammond netted.
