ST IVES Kwai Muay Thai hosted their first Interclub competition on March 28, with world champion Lee Coville the guest of honour.

Coville helped to judge the event and awarded medals to all fighters and a trophy to the winner. The event saw 26 fighters from the St Ives club, St Neots Muay Thai and the Sandy Dragons taking part.

The fight of the day was between Mo Khurshid from St Ives youth group and Joe Bradbury from St Neots, proving that starting a martial art at a young age can have a positive effect.

Founder Tim Palmer said: "From our humble beginnings as a fitness based class we have seen our numbers grow we have been able to develop a number of fighters who have taken part in various competitions over the last year. We have also had to add additional training sessions in St Ives and St Neots."
