AILWYN student Peter Dickinson, 14, is taking the squash world by storm.

Currently ranked fifth in the country in the Under 15 age group, Peter recently competed in the England Squash Grand Prix in Nottingham, a competition for the top players in each age group. He reached the quarter-finals before being knocked out by the eventual winner of the competition, who currently holds the number one ranking.

Peter started playing squash aged six, going on to become a County player aged only 10.

His good performance at Nottingham has inspired confidence to be the best. Peter said: "I've got another year of competition in this age group so I would like to be England Under 15s Number 1 next year." With the National Under 15 Champs coming up in February at Bishop's Stortford, Peter is targeting the title to set him on his way to achieving his ambition.
