Abby Scarrow led St Ives Ladies to their biggest win yet last Saturday.

The East Women’s League Division Two North-West table-toppers thumped Newmarket 10-1.

Scarrow struck four times, skipper Helen Clarke bagged a brace and Claire Wibberley-Young, Jules Griffiths, Naomi Chalkley and Vicky Leighton also found the net as St Ives extended their 100 per cent record to five games.

St Ives Ladies 3rds also boast a five-match winning run after seeing off Cambridge City 5ths 8-0 to climb into top spot in Division Four North-West (South).

Captain Lauren Beadles and Emily Philpott both hit hat-tricks after Kerry O’Hara opened the scoring. Vice-captain Hannah King was the other player to find the net.

The 5ths were the only one of St Ives’ five men’s sides to taste victory last weekend.

They claimed their first success of the Division Six North-West (South) season in the East Men’s League by seeing off Ely City 3rds. Langton Takawira and Finlay Hudson hit the goals to earn a 2-0 win.
