St Neots racer Andy Sawford continued his pursuit of second place in the HEL Performance British Motostar 125cc Championship last weekend.
Sawford was sixth in the latest round of the series at Oulton Park in Cheshire to maintain his grip on second spot in the overall standings.
His advantage over third-placed Mark Clayton was reduced to nine points after the two men were involved in an exciting battle for fifth spot in the race. There are three rounds of the series remaining with Sawford back in action at Dutch circuit Assen from September 18-20.
Little Paxton-based Jon Railton finished 26th in the latest round of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship at Oulton Park
