SAINTS took on Biggleswade in the first round of the plate competition, coming away with an impressive win.
St Neots got off to a good start, James Fitch kicking a penalty to open the scoring.
The Saints pack fronted-up well to a heavy Biggleswade forward unit, winning plenty of ball early-on.
Biggleswade played a forward-orientated game but St Neots defended well, taking advantage of the wind to score 42 unanswered points before the break.
The wind hampered Saints in the second half, but they scored 15 more points without reply to seal the win.
Tries came from Dan Fox (2), James Fitch (2), Richard Heathcoat, Vinny Byatt and MoM Chris Oram (3).
