Sleaford Town 2-4 St Ives Town
SAINTS saved the best till last at Sleaford Town on Saturday where they won 4-2 in the Chromasport & Trophies United Counties Premier Division.
Guy Last ran the whole length of the pitch, beating defenders as he went, before slotting the ball past the Town goalkeeper to put the game out of reach for St Ives.
Saints had gone ahead through Ozie Foster in the ninth minute but the teams were level at the break.
Then, early in the second half, St Ives went down to ten men when Jamie Alsop was sent off for swearing at one of the referee’s assistants.
Things got worse before they got better: St Ives went 2-1 down but two goals from Conor Washington gave them a 3-2 lead before Last topped things off with his show-stopper.
