Huntingdon AN EXCELLENT team performance from Stags U15s saw them run out 17-0 winners at Olney. Neither side managed to gain an advantage in the first half with play centred around the halfway line, though Olney had the better of the forward exchanges. Gradually Stags' forwards began to gain the upper hand and with 20 minutes gone the visitors' pressure got the reward it deserved, when Joe Costello scored in the corner. The second half began as the first had finished with Stags taking the game to Olney and within five minutes Stags had more than doubled their score. A great move by the backs found Mark Cox on the wing, who beat a tackle to run through and score under the posts, Costello converting. Cox collected the ball from another fine move to score his second try late on to hand Huntingdon a 17-0 win with Simon Price named man of the match. St Ives ALTHOUGH the 27-7 scoreline looked heavy, St Ives U14s put up a good performance in their match against Peterborough. Aden Fry scored the try and Tom Whiteside landed the conversion while Callum Park picked up man of the match. Meanwhile, St Ives U15s came out 12-0 winners against Peterborough. The scores were level at half time but Matt Bligh scored both tries and John Leak added a conversion. St Neots DESPITE losing their weekend fixtures, St Neots U11s played with some great skill and determination in their matches at Wellingborough. Adam Williams was named Saints' man of the match for his performance across all four games, displaying total commitment and focus, making countless tackles and passes.
