SAINTS U17 had the perfect build-up to this weekend's East Midlands League final with an impressive 28-12 win at Peterborough. Adam Porter opened the try count for the visitors before the home side equalised with 15 minutes of the first half remaining. After being on the ropes at the end of the first half, St Neots fell behind early in the second period but a superb run by Richard North brought the scores level again. Porter then crossed the line for his second of the game before Luke Warburton made the win secure. It was a day of mixed fortunes for St Neots U11 at the weekend as they recorded a 28-0 win against Stockwood Park but lost out 14-0 to Rushden. Cameron Brown scored a pair of tries in the victory with Curtis Bundy and Ben Tyler also crossing. Lewis Medlow converted all four tries to give himself a perfect conversion record. George Peacock was named man of the match while Liam Scotney was named pick of the bunch in the Rushden defeat. Saints U7s drew eight tries apiece in an excellent match with Rushden. Daniel Cockhead scored two of the tries with Jordan Holdaway grabbing four. Kieran Arber scored a brace of his own in muddy conditions. The U7s lost out six tries to eight against Stockwood Park in their second fixture. Billy Haverson scored a hat-trick, Holdaway crossed twice with Arber also crossing.
