U9 Stags 1 Stevenage 5 Both sides started slowly and the first half ended 1-1 with Ben Hegan getting the Stags try. The second half saw Stags miss a number of tackles as Stevenage ran from all areas of the pitch and managed to score four tries in 10 minutes to win. Stags 6 Royston 1 After the poor performance against Stevenage, Stags upped their game considerably and had a very comfortable victory. Joe Sullivan got a hat trick of tries and other try scores included Luke Totes and Harry Edwards. U10 Stags 3 - Stevenage 3 Stags went 2 -1 up with tries from William Gould and Matthew Waring before the break. Stags appeared to be cruising when Lewis Ager went over to make the score 3-1 but Stevenage scored two late tries to even the match. Matthew Waring, Sam Lawrence and Max Oliver scored tries against Royston, and despite the defeat there were some solid performances from Kallum Patterson in centre, George Mansfield at scrum-half and Simon Duncan delivering some crunching tackles. U12 Royston 5 Stags 35 Rampaging forward Xavier Parker got two tries, with backs Harry Denton, Jordan Cafferkey and Jonny Charalambous scoring one each. Royston were unable to cope with Stags all field attack, although they did breach the line with a good score of their own. Parker scored twice again in the match and George Napier moved from his normal second row position into the centres to claim two tries of his own with George Furbank converting all.
