St Neots Saints A FINE performance from St Neots U12s saw them come away 47-0 victors from their first of two matches at Hertford. George Peacock and man of the day Ben Clare both scored a brace of tries and there were scores for Ben Tyler, Connor Law and Callum Austin, with Lewis Medlow six times successful with the boot. Forwards Adam Hayward, George Peacock, Alex Cronin, Law, Callum Horn and Medlow won the ball with regularity at the scrum, giving the backs a good platform from which to work. Liam Scotney also performed well at hooker for the opposition in a one-day-only loan deal. In the second fixture, against Hertford A, the scoreline was closer but St Neots still came away 19-0 victors. Huntingdon Stags STAGS U11s played three games against Kettering at St Peter's School, winning twice and losing once. The opening match saw Stags slip to a 7-0 loss but the second match saw Huntingdon dominate and run out 38-0 victors. Captain for the day George Napier led the charge with some excellent set-up play for his team mates. In the final fixture Stags came out 14-0 victors thanks to strong defence from Napier and Will Sampson. Try scorers were Jack Lewsley, Simon Custance, Napier, Charles Saunders, Bob Stocker and George Furbank, who also kicked the conversions. St Ives Bulls A TOUGH encounter at Oundle saw St Ives U17s come away with a 27-0 defeat. Man of the match Dan Breed did his utmost for the Bulls but his side ended pointless in a frustrating game. Oundle broke the deadlock after four minutes when Rob Shingles burst through a weak tackle to cross the line for Oundle. Andrew Punter's pulled hamstring cut his match short and allowed Ronan Delany in on the action but more weak tackling allowed Oundle to control the match.
