A SINGLE goal saw Godmanchester Rovers knocked out of the first round of the Huntingdonshire Senior Cup by St Neots Town.
The home side had injury problems - manager Karly Hurst was forced to play outfield player Stephen Hurst as an emergency goalkeeper - and things got worse when Jon Brierley was given his marching orders in the second half.
The game was won by Town defender Gary Watts. Named in the starting line up for the first time after his long lay off through a broken leg, he scored his first goal since March 2006 and it proved to be sufficient to see his side through into the next round.
