Godmanchester Rovers get their Ridgeons League Division One season under way with a trip to Debenham on Saturday, quickly followed by a Cambridgeshire derby at March on Tuesday.
Joint-managers Karly and David Hurst are in positive mood ahead of the new season with a relaid pitch at Bearscroft Lane and plans for a stand on the horizon. Rovers will play their first five fixtures away from home as the pitch beds in.
New players at the club include goalkeepers Tim Trebes (Barnet) and Ally McInnally (Downham), Ash Richards (Histon), Dom Carminati (Great Shelford) and Nick Finney (Great Shelford).
Karly Hurst said; "We have new sponsors, a new pitch and a new stadium on the way so we are looking for a top-half finish and some decent cup runs.
