Godmanchester Rovers have left their recent blip behind thanks to two wins in the space of four days.

Rovers beat Newmarket 1-0 at Bearscroft Lane last Wednesday thanks to an Austen Diaper strike and followed up by sinking Wivenhoe 3-0 on Saturday when debutant Jake Knight, Tom Meechan and Taylor Parr scored.

Now Nania and co are chasing two more wins in the next four days to breathe life back into the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division title race. They entertain Whitton tonight (Wednesday) before travelling to Norwich United for a top-of-the-table Saturday showdown.

“The gap between us and Norwich is 14 points at the moment,” said Rovers co-boss Nania. “We need to make sure it is down to eight points by Saturday night.”
