Colts Round-up

GODMANCHESTER

ANOTHER 12 goals launched the U14A into Round 3 of the County Cup against a shell-shocked Peterborough.

Sean Olley and Elkanah Sibanda hit three each as Goddy scored a dozen for the second time in the competition this year. Jack James (2), Danny Mulgrew (2), Farris Alston and Chris Kaye completed the 12-1 win.

Rovers U14B visited Brampton Spartans and took an early lead through Matthew Pates. It wasn't until the second half that Spartans nicked an equaliser, but Pates added his second for a 2-1 win.

The U16B side missed the chance of going top of the league when Priory blew them away 6-0.

The U13s had a great first half against Haverhill, going in 3-1 to the good. Goal ace Ashley Hehir notched two and Lee Collings the third, and Hehir added his third in the second half for a 4-1 win.

A last-minute penalty consigned Rovers U12 to a 4-3 at home to Milton. Connor Rice (2) and Jack Donnellan had struck before Milton's slice of luck gave them the win.

GREAT PAXTON

RYAN Scarr scored the U13 goal in a good team performance against Needingworth that was not reflected in the final score.

Heroics by Charlie Shotter in goal still failed to prevent a 7-1 defeat.

BUCKDEN

TWO goals from Harry Blair and one each for James Bonafont and Josh Tibbs saw the U11s continue their good form with a 4-3 win over Needingworth.

A strong U13 outfit wore Papworth down to win 6-2, as Jacob Brown (2), Connor Ray (2), Joe Griffin and Donald McGarva served up the goals.

BRAMPTON

SPARTANS U12s struggled to hold the Littleport forwards and although James Shaw bagged a brace, Littleport won 9-2.

The U15 team went down 3-2 to a last-minute Warboys winner in the cup, after George Wooff's double had kept them in the match.

Spartans U10 won their Cup match at Little Paxton 2-0, Ben Szczepanski and James Dean scoring the goals.

The U11s fell to a goal in each half as Hemingford won 2-0.

ALCONBURY

FIVE goals from George Bush helped the Reds U9s to a 12-1 win at KC Cougars.

Jack Goodyear chipped in with four goals and other goals came from Josh Bell, Thomas Martin and Oliver Bravo-Escos as the Cougars were given the run-around

Burwell Tigers were toothless against the U16 team, who won the day 8-0. Tom Hughes (2), Danny Duckworth (2) Chris Alban, Jamie Stone, James Petts and Ryan Smith were the men on the mark.

The U10 Blues progressed 4-1 in the cup at the expense of Godmanchester as Jacob Pack, Harry March, Henry Sharman and Matthew Harvey helped their team come from behind.

The U12 Girls went down fighting as Haddenham won an exciting cup match 3-1 in extra time. Lucy Ramsaran netted in the first half for Alconbury.

HEMINGFORD

BLACK U11 found the net either side of half time to record a 2-0 win over Brampton Red. Dan Seaman and Joe Darer bagged a goal apiece.

SOMERSHAM

ASHLEY Howlett pulled off a string of fine saves but couldn't prevent the U12s losing 6-1 to Teversham.

WARBOYS

WARBOYS U15 edged a great game against Brampton 3-2 as Mombe Simwanza hit the net and Jonny Ray was at the double.

The U11s battled away gallantly before losing 6-1 to Rowdies, with Finlay Alston getting the consolation.

The U10s and Somersham Amber were locked at 4-4 after extra time in their cup tie, before Warboys took the game 8-7 on penalties.

Harry England and Josh Francis struck, and Somersham added two own goals as Warboys won through.

The U8 Wizards conjured up a 6-2 win against Stilton. Liam Baker bagged a first-half penalty but the hero was Danny Carrigan with a five-goal salvo.

NEEDINGWORTH

THE U11s went down 4-3 at Buckden, as Josh Smith, Benjamin Casey and an own goal brought Needingworth so close to a draw.

The U9s beat Buckden Owls 4-2, with Matty Galpin (2), Dominic Holding and George Sillett banging in the goals.

FENSTANTON

VISITORS Somersham served up a six-goal thriller with the U11s, after going three down in 20 minutes to goals from Andy Darling (2) and Harry Taylor.

Somersham found their form in the second half and recovered for a 3-3draw.

ST IVES RANGERS

RANGERS U14s progressed in the Cup with a 7-0 win against Priory B as Kieran Price (3), Dan Davis (2), Lloyd Schwier and an own goal did the damage.

The U12A side beat Priory 5-1 thanks to Ruben Trillo's hat-trick. Matthew Wright and Adam Roberts put the icing on the cake.

The U13A side staged a remarkable comeback from 4-0 down at half time to win 5-4. Rangers stormed back with goals from Michael Scott, Ammar El-Gabban, Sam Oliver and Daffa Prasetyo, before Scott made it 5-4 with his second.

Rangers U16 continued their five-match winning run by beating Cherry Hinton Lions 6-0. Joe Kelly scored a hat-trick, with the other goals from Innes Christison, Jeff Black and Ryan Pascoe.

U11R got the better of U11T as club sides met. Aaron Ania, Lewis Jones (2) and Michael Witherspoon completed the day's scoring.

It was one-way traffic for the U10J as they beat Somersham 18-0. James Elvin (4), Owen Charge (3), Billy Driver (3) and Amir Kamal (3), Tom James (2) James Lee, Alex Mishinsky and Joseph Cox had their shooting boots on.

U10M beat Somersham Gold 2-1 after extra time thanks to Charlie Probert's late winner. Oskar O'Hara had put Rangers ahead before Gold drew level.

A stylish performance by the U12B side saw them beat Eaton Socon 5-1. Josh Heaford (4) led the way, and Harry Carlisle nicked one.

LITTLE PAXTON

THE U11 team and Priory drew 3-3, as Brett Davis's double kept Paxton in contention and George Gadd nabbed a long-range last-minute equaliser.

The U9s overran Alconbury Blue 10-2. Bradly Matzk scored four goals, with Luca Jim-Huttly (3), Kyle Gathergood (2) and an own goal completing the score-sheet.

PRIORY PARKSIDE

PRIORY U13A continued their unbeaten run with a 5-4 home win over Ely Crusaders, shading the game courtesy of Jordan Brown's hat-trick and Dom Mason's double.

Priory U14B crashed out of the Hunts Cup, beaten 7-0 by St Ives Rangers.

St Ives proved too strong for the U12s with Marty Pegram netting in the 5-1 defeat.

The U13 Girls came back from 2-0 down against Newmarket, only to fall to a last-minute goal. Hannah Winfield hit two well-taken goals in the 3-2 defeat.

Goals by Josh Osbourne and Bradley Emmet were scant reward for the U9D at Ramsey as the home side won 5-2.

Hat-trick man Sammy Fraser was on form for the U8S, Josh Manton hit a brace and Eddie Rowe finished well in the 6-1 win over Somersham.

Liam Dawson struck four times for the U16 team as they overran Godmanchester 6-0 in a top-of-the-table clash. Luke Severn netted the first and Christian Duddridge added another.

HUNTINGDON ROWDIES

THE U13 Rowdies dominated but could not take their chances against Burwell Tigers. Nathan Dawson fired the Rowdies goal in a 2-1 defeat.

Warboys took the lead against the U11s before Louis Stow, Ethan Parr, Joseph Brown (2) and Cody Traywick put the record straight for a 6-1 win.

The U16s won their top-of-the-table clash at Milton 3-1 after a three-goal first-half blitz in which Harvey Kitchin, Harvey Phillips and Pharris Jude struck.

The U10F overcame a hard-working Staploe to win 3-0. Ryan Smith, Kieran Kirschner, and a deflected Taylor O'Connell effort saw them home.

ST NEOTS

CAMERON Crisp pulled a goal back for the U14s against Elsenham from 2-0 down but the home side made it 3-1 near the end to leave Saints empty-handed.

KC COUGARS

COUGARS U15s were pegged back to 2-2 after leading Stretham Sporting 2-0, but found a late surge to win 4-2. The goals came from Jack Bowen, James Belbin, Sam Hills and Joe Postins.

RAMSEY

MIXED results at U9 level saw the A team beat Priory D 5-2, but the B outfit lose to Somersham 10-3.

The U10A side showed good form against Fenstanton to win their cup encounter 5-1.

Tony Wagstaff (2), Ryan Pratt, Max Wiskin and Andrew Cooke were on target.

Doubles from Harry Fletcher and Thomas Hodgeson provided the backbone in the Ramsey U10B's 6-2 win over Bluntisham. Adam Kelly and James Calder weighed in with the other goals.

At U11 Fulbourn proved too strong for the Rams and won 7-0.

Goalscorer Connor Beaumont fired home a hat-trick as the U13s won 3-0 against Priory, but the U15s lost to Histon Hornets 3-2 in the Cup. The Rams scorers were Dan Short and Kyle McPartlin.

Elliott Cafferkey and Oliver Wright bagged one each but the U16s crashed 6-2 at Great Paxton.
