Huntingdonshire footballers could win a spot on striker’s Sky One show
HUNTINGDON’S top six-a-side football talent could be appearing on Sky One with England striker Wayne Rooney, after league organisers SoccerSixes signed a deal with producers of Wayne Rooney’s Street Striker.
Scouts will visit the top 50 SoccerSixes leagues in the UK as they search for talent to meet and train with the England and Manchester United striker in the next series.
SoccerSixes managing director Ross Spacey said: “While we are delighted to be able to assist the producers of Wayne’s programme by agreeing for scouts to search our leagues for talent, we are even happier to be able to give our teams and players the chance to star on Wayne’s show and work with a professional footballer.”
