A WOODHURST girl is celebrating after triumphing in a prestigious dressage competition earlier this month.
Emma Koch, 14, was crowned Junior Novice Champion in the Final of the Miller Sands Dressage competition held at Manor Farm Equestrian Centre, near Houghton.
Six months of qualifying competitions led up to the final and Emma, riding Shadow Mist, came out on top, scoring 62.2 per cent.
Competition judge Di Harvey said: "I was very impressed by the high standard of riding from all the winners as well as the quality of the horses.
"It makes my job an enjoyable one and I look forward to seeing the top horse-rider combinations go on to better things."
