A RAMSEY kickboxers came first at a Peterborough competition on February 22.
The EMA Open Martial Arts Peterborough series at the Gladstone Community Centre saw Ryan Connor win the men's under 84 kilograms black belts semi-contact event and the men's heavy weight continuous category.
Three other Ramsey fights finished second in their categories. Megan Lemmon was runner up in the U5ft 2in section and Rebecca Sawyer second in the U5ft 4in category, both beating black belt fighters in their finals.
Rolandas Macenskis came second in both the men's U84kg coloured belts semi contact event and the men's light weight continuous event.
Champion Connor and Aaron Godden both fight in the England team and have been selected to compete in Europe's largest martial arts tournament, the Irish open, on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15.
