Pupils from across the county, above, begin their leg in the cross country race held at Priory Junior School.
More than 700 children took part in last Wednesday's Cambridgeshire Primary Schools Cross-Country Relay Championships at Priory Junior School, St Neots. The event, sponsored by Riverside Runners, nine and 11 from 57 primary schools in the county.
The children were split into boys and girls and then into teams of four, with each team member running a 1,200 metre leg in what may be the biggest relay event of its kind in the country.
The best-placed school from the area in the boys' event was Fenstanton and Hilton Primary, who came sixth.
In the girls' event, the best-placed school was Huntingdon Junior School in fourth.
