CAMBOURNE Rovers FC is encouraging footballers who play for teams outside the village to come and try out for their home club.
A pre-season training session will be held on the Astroturf pitch in the town, allowing players with BIS Division 1, or above, experience to try out.
Cambourne kick off their season with an away fixture against Fowlmere on September 22 after winning promotion from the BIS Division 2A last season.
A last-gasp equaliser from Matt Hacking in the final game of the season secured the invaluable third spot for Rovers, who are now looking to build.
Though the squad will remain largely unchanged, manager Adrian Winter is looking to strengthen his squad in a number of areas.
Front man Trevor Symonds looks to be a good acquisition, having scored 54 goals last season for Fowlmere, but pledging allegiance to Cambourne for this campaign.
The club is also interested in hearing from players wishing to play on Sundays, as the club has two teams entered in local leagues.
Pre-season training for the side begins on Thursday, August 2 and any interested players can contact the club through their website - www.cambournerovers.co.uk
