A former Eynesbury player made his Football League debut yesterday.
Jordan Nicholson, who struck 26 goals for Rovers in the United Counties League Premier Division last season, was introduced as a half-time substitute during Peterborough’s 3-0 defeat at Millwall in League One.
The 22 year-old, from Godmanchester, joined Posh in a December move from non-league side Histon.
Former Godmanchester Rovers and St Neots Town striker Tom Meechan went straight into the Newport County squad yesterday following his move to the Welsh club during last week.
Meechan, who joined County for an undisclosed fee from Saints on Thursday, was an unused substitute for their 1-1 draw at Exeter City in League Two.
