St Ives (Hunts) Golf Club ladies captain Claire Pendall used her home advantage to good effect when capturing a major county prize.

Pendall triumphed in the Audrey Nicole Cup as the Needingworth Road course provided the stage for the Cambs & Hunts Ladies County Golf Association event.

She carded a smart net 72 to triumph by one shot from runners-up Debra Solman (Bourn). That club also provided the third-placed finisher as Elaine Randall pipped Marilyn Williams (Brampton Park) on countback after they recorded net 74s.

There was a double for the host club as St Ives also provided the winner of the gross event thanks to Helen Rae. She prevailed on county back after six ladies all shot a 95.
