OWEN Harrison stole the show when he became the national three metre springboard championship in his age-group in Sheffield last weekend.
The 11-year-old from Huntingdon, who is coached by Cambridge Diving Team’s Marc Holdsworth, was 27 points clear of his nearest rival in the Boys’ D age-group competition for 10 and 11 year olds.
And the young diver almost made it a double gold but had to settle for the silver medal on the five metre platform when he was beaten into second by just 0.45 of a point.
Harrison, who is also a promising member of Huntingdon Gym, also came in the top ten in the one metre springboard event.
