Godmanchester Rovers manager Ollie Drake wants maximum points from a series of important Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division clashes.
Rovers entertain Histon tomorrow night (Wednesday) in a sixth-versus-fourth clash when victory would hugely boost their hopes of climbing above the visitors in the standings.
Drake’s men then face a Saturday trip to Stanway Rovers – the team who currently sit directly below them in the table – ahead of a lengthy Tuesday trek to Gorleston.
“It is a big spell, but also one we’re relishing,” said Drake. “The side we have built over the last few months is capable of getting a result against any team on any given day.
“The Histon game is a six-pointer for both teams. They beat us in the league, we won their in the cup and there seems to be plenty of rivalry growing between the two clubs.
“Stanway is a really tough trip. We’ve not faced them yet, but it’s another important game against the team directly below us in the table.
“A midweek trip to Gorleston is far from ideal, but there’s a job to be done and three points to be won.

Rovers saw another match added to their long list of postponements when a home date against Kirkley & Pakefield fell victim to a waterlogged David Wilson Homes Ground pitch last Saturday.
Drake added: “The pitch was an absolute mess to be brutally honest. It was completely underwater in quite a few areas.
“We all understand there is not an awful lot that can be done. We just have to keep our fingers crossed the weather improves quickly.
“It has been a particularly wet winter and then we had all the snow that thawed before we could even get it cleared.
“Fortunately we’ve been training on a 3G lately and that has helped keep the morale high in the camp. The buzz is still there and we’re going to need it with such a busy end to the season.”
Rovers must now cram their final 15 league fixtures and a Hinchingbrooke Cup quarter-final into the next 53 days.
