Eynesbury boss Mark Ducket insisted changes will be made following the worst display of his near two-year reign.

That’s how Ducket described the club’s elimination from the FA Vase at the first round proper stage last Sunday.

Rovers suffered a 2-0 defeat against FC Romania. The Essex Senior League hosts hit the front nine minutes before the break and clinched victory when netting again with a minute to go.

Ducket said: “I don’t mind losing a game of football, but when people don’t even want to try it is hard to watch. Yet again we had too many people trying to do everything on their own and not caring about the team or the badge.

“I’ve worked harder than most to get this club on the map in the last couple of years and I don’t like to see players give up before the real fight has even begun.

“There is no way I’m going to entertain the idea of watching this sort of thing week in, week out. I’ve done a lot of thinking in the last couple of days and hopefully I can rectify the problems.”

The usually high-scoring Rovers drew a blank for the second successive match. They created little on a day when Declan Rogers and Tom Coles were both denied by smart saves in the second half.

Eynesbury have won just one of their last six games in all competitions ahead of the start of their Hunts Senior Cup defence tonight (Tuesday) when entertaining Godmanchester Rovers in a quarter-final at Hall Road, 7.45pm.

They return to United Counties League Premier Division action with a trip to Oadby this Saturday before hosting Wellingborough side Whitworth next Tuesday.
