Huntingdon bowler Nicky Brett is today bidding to reach the final of the Just Retirement World Indoor Championships for the first time.

Brett, of Huntingdon IBC, takes on David Gourlay in a semi-final clash at the Potters Resort, Hopton-on-Sea.

Brett eased into the last four with a straight sets victory over practice partner and former City of Ely clubmate, Greg Harlow, yesterday.

Brett prevailed 9-3, 7-7 to equal his best-ever run in a tournament which is worth £55,000 to the winner.
