Margit Bialobrzeska was in record-breaking form for Hunts AC at the second Eastern Masters League fixture of 2018 last week.
Bialobrzeska increased her own club veteran women’s javelin best by more than half-a-metre with a 28.04m effort at in the meet at King’s Lynn. It lifted her to seventh in the national rankings for the W35 age group.
Amy Frary came within two centimetres of another club record with a 4.41m leap in the W35 long jump while newcomer Phil Bowers won the M50 age bracket of that event with 4.82m.
Sandra Pedley consolidated her third place in the W50 national pole vault rankings with a 1.90m clearance to earn victory. Bob Ellingham (M50 discus) and Richard Phelan (M50 pole vault) were other winning Hunts AC athletes.
Phelan (2nd), Bowers (9th), Ellingham (10th) and Frary (11th) also feature prominently in the national lists for their respective events.
