There’s a new member of the junior team down at St Neots Rowing Club – JK the boat.
The new double sculls boat was unveiled at a naming ceremony on Sunday, which was made possible by a generous 6,500 grant earned by club juniors Josh Dexter and Huw Jarman, after their impressive application to the Young Lives charity.
The boat, JK, was named after long-standing club member John Knights by club chairman Martyn Rooney, with around 100 people there to witness it.
And it will get its first taste of river action over the weekend of July 23/24 at St Neots’ annual regatta.
