PLAYERS from the Huntingdon Hawks netball club acted as ball girls and stewards for SuperLeague side Mavericks for their match against Leeds Met at the weekend.
Bedford-based Mavericks powered to a 58-21 victory against their opponents, taking them to second place in the SuperLeague table.
Mavericks star Bernadette Palmer said: "The netball SuperLeague is a great opportunity for up-and-coming clubs like Hawks to be involved in the game at the highest level.
"The girls got to watch a superb game and meet the players and they all behaved very professionally. They are a credit to their club."
