St Neots Town 5-2 Deeping Rangers

ST NEOTS Town crashed through the 100-goal barrier in the UCL Premier Division with victory over Deeping Rangers at the Hunts Post Community Stadium.

All seven goals came in a 22-minute period in the second half, after the division leaders had been frustrated in the first half.

James McDonough’s 48th-minute own goal handed Saints the lead, but Kevin Gilbert replied for Rangers after 54 minutes, turning in a Kris Jones shot.

Sixty seconds later the Saints were back in front through Jordan Gent who converted a Stefan Moore cross.

Deeping got on terms again, as Mark Jones pounced on the rebound after former Saint Liam Harrold saw his shot parried.

Saints went ahead again on 63 minutes through Lewis Hilliard, and Lewis Webb took Neots’ league tally into three figures with their fourth of the night. Kieran Davies converted Junior Kanuda’s through ball to make it five on 70 minutes.

Home substitute Roy Essandoh was denied a place on the scoresheet by the woodwork.
