Newport Pagnell 1-1 St Neots Town

ST NEOTS Town went top of the UCL Premier with an action-packed 1-1 draw at Newport Pagnell, which saw the Saints collect three red cards and play more than half the match with a midfielder in goal.

Luke McShane was dismissed in the first half after remonstrating with the referee, forcing Rob Hughes to take the gloves.

However, King’s Lynn’s defeat at Deeping Rangers meant the Saints’ result - which took them above Irchester United on goal difference - was a point gained rather than two lost.

Pagnell, also flying high in the league, took the lead just before the break through Daren Sykes, though Shane Tolley got Neots on terms early in the second half.

Stefan Moore missed a penalty shortly after for the Saints.

In the dying minutes, Will Fordham was sent off for a dangerous tackle and Adam Jones was dismissed from the bench.
