Gollings, 28, will replace Able, who takes up her post at Newmarket Racecourse as Regional Head of Sales of the East of Jockey Club Racecourses, on January 23, from her job as Group Racing Executive and analyst at the Jockey Clubs head office in London. Im delighted to be joining the Huntingdon team and excited about starting my new role as General Manager, she said. Having grown up in the racing industry, I have had a lifelong passion for horse racing and I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to progress my career in the sport by JCR. In her new position Gollings, she will be part of the senior team delivering 18 race meetings at Huntingdon Racecourse, including the popular Boxing Day fixture and Grade 2 Peterborough Chase which, sadly, fell foul of flooding last year and helping to drive continued growth across all other areas of the business, including conferences and events. She will report into JCRs East Regional Director, Amy Starkey, who is responsible for the running of Newmarkets Rowley Mile, Newmarkets July Course, Huntingdon, Market Rasen and Nottingham Racecourses. Previously Nadia was Commercial Manager at Nottingham Racecourse, where she played a crucial role in the development and growth of sales in all areas of the business. Amy Starkey, East Regional Director for Jockey Club Racecourses, said: Nadias experience within Jockey Club Racecourses and the racing industry will be an invaluable asset in her new role. I am looking forward to working more closely with her as part of our East regional management team and I have every confidence she will help the racecourse go from strength-to-strength in the coming years. Gollings added: This is an exciting time for the group and Im looking forward to working with the Huntingdon team as well as the senior management team in the region to deliver the 2013 race programme as well as build the non-racing side of the business. Meanwhile, Fridays meeting at Huntingdon remains in doubt because of the current weather, the course at the moment under a sheet of snow. The next meeting after that and the first under the new general manager will be the Chatteris Fen meeting on Thursday, February 7.
