St Ives Town will tackle League One opposition as they prepare for their first-ever Southern League Premier Division season.
Ricky Marheineke’s side entertain MK Dons, who were relagted from the Championship last term, on Saturday, July 16 as part of a double-header at ProEdge Westwood Road.
The match will have a 4pm kick-off with Dons splitting their first-team squad to also face Saints’ tenants Cambridge City earlier in the day at 1pm.
Entry has been set at £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and £4 for Under 16s to cover both games.
St Ives also face the youth side of another League One outfit – Peterborough United – as part of a busy pre-season schedule in which all seven of their friendlies will be at home.
Saints will play at Step 3 level for the first time next season after winning promotion from Division One (Central) of the Southern League last season.
Local lad Ben Seymour-Shove hit a memorable extra-time winner as they beat AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the play-off final at ProEdge Westwood Road earlier this month.
