SOMERSHAM'S young star on two wheels, Jordan Holliday, took part in his penultimate race in the Southern Supermoto Championship on Saturday and made it 12 wins out of 12. The 12-year-old has one last race left in the series - at Cadwell Park on November 1, before quitting the championship to concentrate on his road racing in 2009. Practice at Lydd on Saturday went well and Holliday, who was quick and full of confidence, looked as if he had put last week's crash at Donnington behind him. However, because the youngster has only completed two rounds of this championship, he had to start at the back of the grid in the first race. But he was quickly away at the start and up to third place by the second corner. It took the first lap to get into second place and then on the third lap he was putting pressure on the leader who then fell giving Holliday the lead. He pulled away from the chasing pack and went on to win. In race two he was in pole position and led from start to finish. Race three was a similar story and only Scott Pitchers managed to stay with Holliday for a few laps before he fell leaving Holliday to win. Holliday has completed 12 races with Southern Supermoto this season and won all 12.
