Short triumphed in the CE Facilities Services Allcomers Closed-Wheel Race which formed part of the Walter Hayes Trophy meeting the traditional season finale at the famous Northamptonshire track. Short was at the wheel of a Dallara LMP1 car that he has previously raced in the big Le Mans 24 Hour race and faced a couple of familiar faces from the Rollcentre Racing team he owns. James Cottingham drove the sister Dallara while Richard Neary raced a Mercedes AMG GT3 for the squad. Short began the 25-minute race in pole position and the three Rollcentre men were soon in a scrap for victory even though Cottingham had to scythe through the pack after starting at the back of the grid following a problem in qualifying. Despite briefly being pushed back into third place by his stablemates, Short powered into the lead again to claim glory. Cottingham was second with Neary pushed back into fourth. There was more success for Rollcentre Racing when Neary won the sprint section of the Dunlop Endurance Championship race in his Mercedes.
