Fly Fishing GRAFHAM WATER was the venue for the 26th Youth Home International Fly Fishing Championships on Wednesday. Four teams of 14 anglers aged between 12 and 17 years competed for the title of Home International Champions, with England successfully defending their trophy. Anglers had to deal with the changeable weather conditions, which provided valuable experience for the young competitors. Many current successful senior anglers, including the current world fly fishing champion, have benefited from the same development and training with the England Youth Fly Fishing Team. Following a very tense and physical days fishing, involving 56 anglers across 28 boats in total, England won the championships, with Ireland coming in second position, ahead of Scotland and Wales.
