Westfield Junior School were crowned champions in a recent tournament laid on by the Hunts School Sports Partnership.
The St Ives pupils starred as more than 100 girls represented 11 schools in the event staged at St Neots Town’s 3G pitch.
Westfield and runners-up Crosshall Junior School will now go on to represent Huntingdonshire in the English School’s Football Association (ESFA) County Finals.
Alconbury CofE Primary School, Bushmead Primary School, Middlefield Primary School, Priory Junior School, St Helen’s Primary School, St Mary’s CofE Primary, The Round House Primary Academy, Thorndown Primary School and Winhills Primary Academy also took part.
Priory Junior School even entered a second team on the day following a cancellation from another school with both sides achieving School Games Values recognition and earning certificates for their teamwork and determination.
Year 9 leadership members from Longsands Academy and Ernulf Academy were involved in the organisation and officiating of the event.
