ST NEOTS Town notched a 3-0 win over newcomers Irchester United, but St Ives Town went down 2-0 at home to Newport Pagnell.
At The Hunts Post Community Stadium, Neots made it two wins from two in the UCL Premier by defeating last year’s Division One champions, who had Bobby White sent off for two bookable offences.
Rob Hughes, who opened the scoring against Northampton Spencer on Saturday, got Neots up and running again on 14 minutes.
Two quick-fire strikes from Lewis Webb on 60 and 64 made certain of the victory for Neots, who continue to sit on top of the league.
At Westwood Road, St Ives were undone by a second-half double.
Newport Pagnell followed up Saturday’s impressive away defeat of Blackstones with another away win. Darren Dykes opened the scoring five minutes into the second half, and Daniel Nti wrapped it up for the Swans nine minutes from time.
